PLEASE HELP TUCKER WALK AGAIN
Tucker has had another medical emergency.
He can no longer walk.
He's currently being treated at
Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Services in Rochester http://www.vsesrochester.com/
My sister needs your help.
Cue Sarah Mclachlan:
As most of you know vet bills can become outrageously expensive. Last month my sister paid over $3000 to save Tuck's life after he got into my stash of Ice Breakers gum containing xylitol. He finally healed from that, and his liver levels are back in normal range. Unfortunately, he had another incident a few days ago. After paying local vets $560 (whom have been unable to help) my sister (Sarah) brought him to the Veterinary Specialists in Rochester.
Right now they're giving him a Fentanyl drip and a catheter, two things I'm rather familiar with, so at least he's likely more comfortable. In order to figure out why he is unable to walk & what is causing him so much pain they are starting with an MRI and a $4800 payment upfront from my sister. While he is still under anesthesia – (FUN FACT 1: Dogs go under for MRIs, makes sense) – they may need to perform surgery, this will cost at least $10,000. Then of course there will be post op costs like physical therapy, regular follow up checks, medication...
Tucker came into our lives while Sarah was volunteering at the Wisconsin Humane Society. He was an 8-week-old puppy without a Mom. Sarah said he was the quietest of the litter. Sarah happens to be the quietest of our litter too. They were a good match. Anyone who knows Tuck also knows he grew out of his quiet phase. Being with my sister made him act strong and I think the same happened with my sister.
FUN FACT 2:
He was named Tucker because when he came home from the Humane Society he had terrible kennel cough. After coughing and hacking, he'd be all Tuckered out. Get it? Tucker.
He is also known as:
Tucky Boy (Boy-n-Tuck)
Tuck-Tuck-Goose
Handsome Man
Tee-Chew
T-Man-Chew
Man-Chew-rian Candidate
These names also have songs sang written by family members as well as dance routines associated with them.
Please help my sister with this financial burden. Anything you can give will help and is sincerely appreciated.
Thank you. Woof.
