Hamilton Family Flood Expenses
Donation protected
My name is Kyle Hamilton and I live in Columbus Ohio, but my family lives in Louisiana. By now, I am sure most of you have heard of the devastating floods that have overtaken the state of Louisiana. It is hard to imagine 50,000+ homes flooded and for those looking to help, it can be overwhelming to know where to start. While there are several reputable organizations doing great, things that should definitely be backed, I would like to extend an opportunity to support a personal cause that is near and dear to my heart – my family.
My parents - Curt and Kim Hamilton, and siblings – Tyler and Sydney Hamilton were evacuated from their home in Denham Springs, LA. Their house and entire neighborhood took on knee high water for several days, and with that comes the need to repair/replace electrical, drywall, sheetrock, insulation, flooring, subflooring, cabinetry, furniture and belongings, two of their vehicles that were totaled, etc. They have been blessed and protected in many ways, but there is significant work ahead. With no flood insurance (why would you need flood insurance if not in a flood zone?), they risk financial strain that few are prepared for and no one would choose to go through.
Story after story has surfaced of good people doing good things in the midst of so much devastation. The people of Louisiana are helping each other, might you share some of your abundance to help out my family in their time of need? Two things are for certain – every little bit helps, and they will be more grateful than most could ever understand.
