Hambledon House Fire Relief Fund

As you are probably aware there was a catastrophic fire at Hambledon House last week - all escaped however everything and I mean everything, with the exception of a few photographs, was lost .. there was no ‘Contents insurance’ in place and they have yet to receive the green light, and therefore interim payments, for building insurance

Vanessa has always been the most spectacular and generous host. Hambledon has been the backdrop for endless memorable moments, in both her own and all her friend’s lives, as she shared it with such open warmth .. for many at some point it has been as though a second home ..

Nessie has been amazingly strong in such ghastly circumstances, she has lost the house in which 3 generations of her family have lived and with it all of her mementoes .. we have just spent the day organising a new 'wardrobe' as she had just the clothes she escaped in and her new home will need to be furnished ..

I thought this GoFundMe page would create the opportunity for those who have called asking how they can contribute and also for all who have enjoyed her magnanimous hospitality over the years .. it gives a chance to reciprocate with love and affection
