The Harpeth Youth Cycling Club (HYCC) a 501c3 non-profit strives to develop the bodies and minds of kids through cycling education, perseverance, and community service. We offer mentorship and sanctuary for 6 - 12 grade youth riders of all levels, with no skills or experience necessary. HYCC coaches build confidence and instill a lifetime love of health and fitness within the great cycling community.

For the 2016 NICA season, we boasted 28 student-athletes from Dickson, Cheatham, and Davidson counties – more than double the number of kids from our previous season. This year, we anticipate the growth of 50 young riders; we need greater support to help provide for these youth!

EDUCATION:
Over the last year, 18 volunteer coaches have worked countless hours with kids ranging from all skill levels, hosting many group rides, leading skills clinics throughout the season. We worked closely with the students to help them develop into better people both on and off the bike.

HYCC's long-term goals for our student-athletes continue to grow. Last December, we travelled to Milligan College to introduce our team to life as a collegiate cyclist and to encourage our student-athletes to continue their education past high school with the help of academic and collegiate cycling scholarships. We will visit several more college campuses with your support.

COMMUNITY SERVICE:
Awarded “2016 Volunteer Team of the Year” by the Tennessee National Interscholastic Cycling Association (TN-NICA), HYCC youth boasts over 500 hours of community service for SORBA Mid TN, Dickson Lions Club Cycle for Sight, Ride for Reading, the Angel Tree through the Ark Resource Center of Cheatham County, Cross the Harpeth, many NICA and many TBRA race course setup/take downs, to name a few. We guide the youth to give back and be involved.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP:
HYCC's 2017 goals include focus on all cycling disciplines – Road, Mountain Bike, Cyclocross, and more.
With our student-athlete growth our needs have grown as well. Without the support of people like you it has become increasingly difficult to keep up with the demand.
Our expenses include team fees, coach training, insurance, travel, bicycles, equipment, and athlete scholarships. By reaching our $10,000 campaign goal, we will be able to provide every kid the opportunity to ride, race, and grow.

Over the next several days, we are asking every sponsor, corporate and personal, to give from the heart. Harpeth Youth Cycling Club is pleased to say we are a non-profit 501c3 tax-exempt organization. We welcome you to check out our social media to see firsthand the efforts we have made for our student-athletes.
