Hey everyone,
I recently got accepted to go over to Nepal with HELP International (http://help-international.org)
to help aid with the earthquake crisis. I plan on leaving September 11th, 2015 and am going to be there 2-4 weeks (funds pending). I would love to be able to go for 4 weeks but as of right now the plan is 2 weeks. The program cost is $1350 USD (2 weeks) $1950 (4 weeks) and flights are around the $1500 USD. I am putting down USD prices because the prices for the program are in USD and currency flucturation may change the Canadian amount. So I am trying to raise $4650 CND which is roughly $3500 USD.
Recently, I came home from a 2 week mission trip from Cusco, Peru on August 10th, 2015. It was at that time that I saw HELP International post on Instagram about the Nepal Crisis program, and I felt my heart calling me to apply.
It is at this point to which I should add in, I have never been one who has felt a need to go travel abroad, but I have felt the need to help others. I've been blessed in my life in many aspects, and I feel it's my time to go bless others. I have the heart and will to go, but sadly not the funds; so here I am asking for your help, to assist me in helping others.
What I am aware of, what we are doing over there, is assisting with debri removal and rebuilding. As with any kind of crisis aid trip, things can change drastically and we must adapt to the need, and assist as is required.
Whether it be a couple dollars, or more, any contribution is greatly appreciated, and I will keep you all updated on a regular basis to know to what ends your financial assistance has reached.
