Our lives have been forever changed with the sudden passing of our brother Matt Hendrickson. His gentle soul  and  selfless nature will be missed by us all.

Hey dad,
I miss you. The best dad ever, seriously. No matter what you’re doing you always put us kids first. All of the little details and accomplishments in my life are always the biggest deal in the world to you. You always make me feel so loved and celebrated. Our favorite memories are at the river, especially on the boat.

The river is our place to relax; no phones, no work, just family time. Your favorite time, family time. We always do everything together, everything is about the “Hendo Squad”, our 6 pack. I don’t know how you do it, but somehow you never get bored of listening to every little detail of my day and keep up with all my friends and their lives. You care so deeply about who makes me happy. I know your favorite things include anything that is fast and loud. The flat bottoms at the river, your Camaro, your RZR, and even a good blower and power-washer on a Saturday afternoon.





As I grew up, I always knew I could call you for anything. There is nothing I’ve ever asked for that you said no to. You always find a way to make it happen. One of my favorite days is when you let me drive the Camaro for the first time, you had the biggest smile on your face. That car has been your pride and joy, kinda like your 5th child. All of my favorite memories come from our weekends spent together. Our family knows on the weekdays we work hard and on the weekends we play even harder. There’re so many things you do and you do them well. The best trailer backer upper EVER. No one can back up a trailer like you can. Or drive a motorhome! You drive that 36 foot motorhome like a damn sports car, parallel parking it in downtown San Francisco. You always make sure I have all my favorite things at all times, everything I need. You’re the best BBQ dad, always a good Traeger chicken on a Sunday afternoon. You rock my world dad. There’s no one else like you.



Sometimes it feels like you’re more like my best friend than my dad. There’s nothing I couldn’t tell you. You never got mad at me, just always taught me a lesson and moved on. You raised me to know right from wrong. You and mom are the best team ever, always doing things together. You built this incredible, amazing business together which is so incredible. And our house! The best house ever, we love this place! Only you could come up with some of the amazing ideas and put it all together. I’m so happy we built this place together, every single part of it. I feel so happy in our house.




You gave up so much of your time to our family, every single second you thought about how to make us the happiest people ever. Your hugs and your notes were always so heartfelt. Everything all the time! I’ll be missing you always, thank you for giving me the best life ever and being the best dad ever. You were so perfect and loved. I would do anything in the world to have you back, even just for one more boat ride together.
I love you more than anything in the world.
