In 2014 I fell about 30ft when working at a rock climbing wall, onto my left hip. I crushed two vertebrae, which caused two compressed explosion fractures at L1 and T12, and fractured another in my neck. It was nothing short of a miracle that the injury wasn't worse and even more so that I can even walk.

Unfortunately I did not get the proper treatment when the injury first happened. This left me with crippling pain and extremely limited mobility.

I've managed this long with pushing through and dealing with what I could. In 2020 things started to degrade more with collapsing and numbness into my legs. My fiance and I have been trying and searching for medical help and we finally found a doctor willing to help.

Due to how long it has been since the initial injury, surgery is not looking like a possibility. Our current route for pain management is to do Spine Blocks and then to progress to full cauterization of the nerves or to do a Spinal Cord Stimulation implant. Mix that with a healthy dose of Physical Therapy we are hoping we can build back the long gone muscle to support the vertebrae so things don't continue to degrade.
My insurance unfortunately denied the treatment plan. My fiance and I are going to use the last of our savings to start the process but we need help to continue it and finish it. That's why we are coming here to ask for help so that we can live active lives for our newborn. The donation goal is set based on the estimates of the costs by my doctor. Any extra will be refunded if possible or donated to someone else in need of medical treatment.
