Grouse House Fire Recovery Fund

This fund is on behalf of Debra Grouse, owner and resident of the Grouse House. Located on 3344 1st ave south, Minneapolis MN 55408, the house has long served the community as a place of rest and solace for many of Minneapolis’ colourful and creative characters and shelter for those needing rest. In addition the Grouse House is a testament to Minneapolis’ history as the house was built in 1885. On August 6th, 2023 tragedy struck on the upper floor by way of a fire sparked by the spontaneous combustion of a lithium battery. The result of the fire is immense damage to the house to near condemnable condition and immense loss of personal property. Any help towards restoring the house will be a great help to not only Debra but also the community. Thank you.
