Hello Everyone, we are starting this campaign to raise money for my son, Griffin's family to help them to get through this horrible time. Griffin is only 45 years old, he started working at the Young age of 13. He has always worked hard and has always been there to provide for and support his family. Almost 1month ago now that drastically changed for the worst.
On February 10 Griffin was sent home from hospital after testing positive for Covid -19. The next day after throwing up all day & falling several times 911 was called and he was rushed back to the emergency room. Once there, he was admitted to the ICU with a blood sugar level of 500. Griffin had slipped into a diabetic coma, he had been incoherent and was having extreme difficulty breathing even while on oxygen. The doctors decided to put him on a ventilator and run some tests. As well as having covid-19, he also has covid - pneumonia, high blood pressure, blood sugar levels spiking up & down, & elevated kidney levels. The doctors have tried to take Griffin off of the ventilator many times now, but all attempts have been unsuccessful thus far. The goal is to get Griffin breathing on his own & off sedation so he can go to rehab, which would be the next step after the hospital but before returning home. This is going to be a long journey for Griffin & his children. Covid -19 treatments can take weeks to months depending on how his body responds to the treatments.
Griffin is not person that would ever ask for help like this & he is also a very private person. That is why we are asking for his family who have been going through an extremely difficult time emotionally and financially. One of the worst parts being that the hospital is still not allowing any visitors. Without Griffins income bills (Mortgage payments & Ultility Bills) have been coming in and stacking up. This epidemic has been devastating for many people, we are asking you to help out if you can, any amount will make a difference. Also please share this campaign so we can get the maximum exposure for their family during these trying times.
