Hello, and thank you for reading this. Gregg is our brother, our uncle, our family, and we love him dearly. We want-no need- to help him in his courageous battle against throat cancer. Gregg was diagnosed with throat cancer in October, 2016. He had major surgery to remove the tumors in his tongue and tonsils, and it was discovered that the cancer had spread to five lymph nodes as well. Gregg is home recovering from the surgery and is about to start radiation, after which we’ll see whether chemotherapy is also necessary.
Gregg is a devoted husband and father of two teenage boys. He is the family’s sole provider, but more than that, he is also the “soul” provider for his family. He loves and supports his wife through all of life’s storms. His older son, Luke, is an athlete, and Gregg is always his biggest and loudest cheerleader. His younger son, Jake, has had his own struggles with bullies, and Gregg is always there to listen and offer a shoulder. Gregg is an animal lover, who always has a lap or a scratch behind the ears for the family’s three dogs and two cats. Gregg has always been strong and vibrant, with a big booming laugh that you can hear from two campsites away on our family campouts. He loves the outdoors, and our big, extended-family campouts are one of his favorite things. Gregg is also the family practical joker-you can tell by the twinkle in his eye that he’s always up to something!

Gregg has always been strong and boisterous….but cancer is knocking the stuffing out of him now. He is thinner and weaker from the surgery and radiation, and the twinkle is gone from his eye (for now). He is struggling to keep fighting, to get better, to keep working to keep his family afloat, but he is drained and exhausted, and you can see in his face the toll that cancer is taking. The bills are already coming in and piling up….and there are many more medical bills to come. He needs to be able to rest and focus on his recovery, not worry about bills and fear for his family’s wellbeing.
We, his extended family, want Gregg and his family to know how much they are loved. We want to see Gregg back to his goofy, fun-loving self. Mostly, we want to see him kick cancer’s butt and come out stronger for it.
PLEASE HELP keep Gregg and his family afloat during this terrible time. Anything you can contribute would mean the world to them. Whether that is money, or a kind message or a prayer-we will take anything you are able to give with great, heartfelt thanks. God Bless You and thank you for listening.
