My name is Tyler, and my father, Gregory Lazare, is in the fight of his life.
A few weeks ago, my dad went into the hospital to have his gallbladder removed. He’s battled liver issues for years due to past alcoholism, but he’s been staying strong with a strict treatment plan — including a special drink every few hours to help clean his blood and keep his liver stable.
When he was admitted, the hospital failed to give him that treatment for 3–4 days. Without it, toxins built up in his body and his liver function plummeted. Now, instead of a routine gallbladder surgery, my dad’s only chance is a liver transplant.
Gregory is more than just a patient in a hospital bed — he’s my dad, my kids’ grandfather, and a man who’s fought through hard times with stubborn strength. But this time, he can’t fight alone. The road ahead means costly care, transplant evaluations, travel to specialists, and months of recovery. Insurance won’t cover everything, and our family is doing everything we can — but we need help.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go toward:
• Travel and lodging for transplant evaluation and surgery
• Medications and aftercare
• Living expenses while our family focuses on his recovery
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page to help us reach more people who might. Your support — whether it’s $5 or just spreading the word — means more than we can say.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping give my dad the chance to keep living his story.
- Tyler Lazare
