Dear Friends, Family, and Co-workers of Grant,
As some of you may know, after Grant’s surgery on October 30th, 2024, Grant was diagnosed with Stage 3 (ACC) Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma which (is a rare and aggressive cancer that develops in glandular tissues, most commonly in the salivary glands of the head and neck). Grant’s cancer was in his salivary duct on the right side of his jaw. This life-altering diagnosis has brought sudden and immense changes to Grant's world—changes no one should have to face alone.
Following Grant’s surgery at Mayo he endured 30 days of radiation all a while staying extremely positive through this whole process. However, his follow up PET scan showed that his cancer has since metastasized to his lungs and Mayo can no longer help him.
With that said Grant is ready to give it his all and fight with everything he has. While he faces the physical and emotional challenges head-on, the financial burden of this battle is significant. Not to mention time away from work are creating unnecessary stress during an already difficult time.
Now that Mayo is unable to continue care for Grant he will most likely need to look to other cutting edge hospitals outside of Arizona that provide special trials and experimental treatments (not always covered by insurance), and enduring travel costs (flights & housing).
So I have decided to start this GoFundMe to rally around Grant and give him the support he needs so that he can focus solely on healing. Your contributions will allow him to choose the treatment program that feels right for him—no matter the location or insurance coverage—giving him the best chance to beat cancer.
Grant is not only a husband, father, employee, and friend to many, but also a fighter and a winner, and your generosity will help him direct 100% of his energy toward this battle, knowing he’s supported by the love and kindness of those who care about him.
Thank you for being part of Grant’s journey and for standing with him during this difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.
Any funds that are not used for Grant's treatments will be donated to cancer research.
