This one's for my Grandma
Donation protected
I'm writing to you all about my grandmother, Fatima, and her current medical situation. I was hesitant even to make an account, because she is a proud woman, as am I, but I have no choice at this point but to put aside my pride and ask for help. Not for my sake, but for my grandmother's. My grandma lives in Morocco, and the medical system in the country is one that leaves us sick to our stomachs because of the lack of quality care for patients.
My grandma has been sick for the past year, but recently it has gotten worse. She had to have two blood transfusions due to internal bleeding and will have to have an operation in the next few days to remove a large tumor from her stomach.
We wiped out our savings due to an initial misdiagnosis and treatment at one clinic that required moving her to a hospital, where they had to repeat earlier tests to make a correct diagnosis and to attempt a preliminary surgery in the hopes of saving money, since we had so little left. They say it is now necessary to perform major surgery, because the growth has proven more intractable than first believed.
My grandmother is at an advanced age where she cannot endure prolonged treatment to sustain her while we try to find the funds to cover the cost of her surgery, but we have all exhausted our savings, and while I am working extra hours at my job to try to raise additional money, I cannot earn enough for her operation in the short time she has to undergo it. We simply don't know what else to do, so we are swallowing our pride to appeal to anyone who is willing to help her. Any type of donation for my grandmother would mean not only the world to us, but to my grandma as well. Thank you in advance. God bless. <3
