Grace Annabel's Justice Fund

We are Bryan and Mary Lee and we are the parents of two wonderful daughters. One in heaven, one on earth.

Our precious oldest daughter, Grace Annabel Lee was needlessly killed at the age of 24 while traveling as a passenger on Interstate 10 E. Louisiana. The terrible crash was caused by the criminal negligence of others.

The scene we've all witnessed : an entirely unsafe tow hookup pulling multiple "salvaged titles" hooked to one another- to be taken out of the U.S. "for export only" to Mexico for sale.  Companies hire untrained individuals to drive and also to act as the "fall guy" in case of trouble-they engage in horrifically unsafe practices every single evening across the Southeast, intentionally circumventing all CDL licensing, safety and insurance guidlines each state has in place.

Grace had graduated college, worked and studied hard, kept involved with her many varied friends and her large family and volunteered in countless endeavors.  She was excited to be entering law school with a scholarship at the University of San Francisco within a month and a half.  She was going to be teaching Yoga on campus to supplement her expenses and was very full of hope, exuberance and gratitude

Loss of control from speeding, not checking the load and ignorance of making required strap inspections, not using safety chains and driving with no sleep  with faulty equipment hooked up incorrectly- all contributed to a towed junk Jeep to break free,  fly across the IH-10  grass median and hit the Nissan Rogue that Grace was one of two backseat passengers in. Tragically, Grace alone did not survive.

We ask for continued spiritual support and through this campaign, for financial donations  as well to aid our ongoing battles, in the hope to spare other families  from unimaginable loss.

Address all avenues available in Louisiana, Texas and the US for necessary changes, with clearer available actions for law enforcement to be able to halt this type of towing on the spot. Change the definition of an uninspected salvaged car or SUV from a vehicle to an "object" and thus eliminate the legality of dolly towing of junk cars.
