During Covid when I was unemployed, and my big business job had ended, I started a little Goat business. It has since grown and is bringing joy to the world every day. Changes are coming, and I can feel it. I’m not sure what the future holds for us. But for right now, I’m asking that you read the story, it’s written in complete humility, but in faith that what is meant to be will be.
The past six months has left us questioning whether we should even be in the “Goats spread Joy” business anymore. Rent has gone up, electric has gone up, oil has gone up, food for Goats is now $400 a week. We were expecting a couple of reprieves which fell through and I’m at a loss for what to do next… I’ve asked the universe and God to help point me in the right direction. If I meant to stay in Goats, then this GoFundMe will do well and I will be able to support the goats as as I reduce the herd size and look to find a new place to call home.
It’s really not feasible for us to rent any longer. We have too many Goats and too messy of a footprint. Yesterday I had a bit of a nervous breakdown and realized I am not in charge. I know that sounds silly because we’re always not in charge, God is in charge. But this time I cried Uncle and said whatever is meant for me will find me. So for now we are seeking angels. People who love Goats, love the farmer, love the farm. We need you and in exchange, we promise to give back unconditional love and joy to the world through Goat visits to senior homes, schools and special needs communities, through Goatgrams and birthday parties to celebrate children and innocence and through live streams of baby goats hopping and births, and even the trials and tribulations of farm living.
Thank you for whatever you can do!
