The Saga of Miss Kitty

Donation protected
12 years ago Jennifer's mother passed away in Charleston and her best gal Miss Kitty came to Maine to live with Jenny and Ian. Two years and two moves later, Miss Kitty disappeared.

A couple of days ago the Humane Society called about a micro-chipped cat that had a SC address, and the name "Miss Kitty".
Ten years after she disappeared, she was found!

Fast forward through a vet visit, scans and blood work, and it seems that the only thing wrong with Miss Kitty (besides starvation and severe anemia from flea infestation) is a collapsed larynx that required surgery.

After being given a couple of blood transfusions for the anemia, Miss Kitty perked right up, but the surgery was necessary for her to breath on her own.  We couldn't live with ourselves if we didn't give Miss Kitty  a fighting chance, and chose to go ahead with the simple, but expensive surgery.

Because so many friends have been touched by this emotional story, I decided to start a campaign to help Jenny and Ian with the vet bills.  The goal of $2500 is much less than the total cost, but Ernie, her Aunt Carol and I will make up the rest.

Thank you for taking the time to read this story, and the love and  friendship you give Jenny and Ian.  Miss Kitty holds an incredible emotional bond for Jenny and is symbolic of the love she carries for her mother.
