This is hard for me to do. It has been suggested by many to create a Gofundme for Adley as the bills are mounting with his ongoing care.  At just 3.5 years old Adley was diagnosed with severe adhd and DMDD (disruptive mood dysregulation disorder).  He has since had an anxiety diagnoses and a sensory processing disorder added.  For us finding a diagnosis was really difficult because he was so young. No providers were willing to diagnose and help him.  Adley was incredibly hyper and often had tantrums that were incredibly destructive and often lasted upward of an hour.  We fought and fought to get him help and the fight continues. We have had good periods which to this point have always been followed by a plummet. In our attempts to help Adley achieve stability and be ready for kindergarten, this bills are piling up and many of these appointments are ongoing. Every week we have occupational therapy twice, psychiatry has been every other week, play therapy every other week, family therapy every other week, and the chiropractor has been recommended to be three times a week. Adley also participated in a mental health day treatment for six weeks. We were told insurance would cover 95% of it, however that was not the case and we are now responsible for a $3000 bill just for that. We are accumulating at times hundreds of dollars a week in copays. Adley is not stable right now. He is still very anxious, hyperactive, impulsive, and dysregulated. He is often verbally and physically aggressive with us and has destroyed so much stuff in our home. The services Adley requires are ongoing and likely will be for some time. I know everyone is struggling right now due to covid, so we understand if all you can offer is your love and support. That is huge for us right now.
