Save B Cafe and feed Mount Sinai’s COVID ICU Staff

What was once a bustling street on the UES of NYC filled with restaurants, gyms, and coffee shoppes, is now empty, with boarded up windows. Life has obviously changed for all of us, and for those of us lucky enough to stay healthy during this pandemic have been watching in horror as our community and the world has come almost to a halt. Most likely things will never be the same, but we must fight to support each other and take control of what we can. One of the many things that make New York City so wonderful are the vast restaurant options. Well those options are slowly disappearing as time goes on. Many restaurants are suffering, along with their employees and it is heart breaking to watch. My favorite restaurant, B Cafe has been basically put out of business in the last 6 weeks. I have been a patron of this delicious restaurant for the last 6 years. My husband and I own a gym right next door and ate dinner there every week and even had our son’s 1st birthday there! The menu is delicious with food ranging from their famous Grilled Chicken sandwich to Grilled Salmon, Mussels and their fries are dangerous! B Cafe has been family owned and operated for over 14 years and they are not able to get assistance from the government, so they are just waiting out the inevitable. Their employees are so loyal and still show up everyday to make deliveries to only take home an average of $20/day. I’m sure this is the case for many restaurants out there now, so I want to start by helping this one. 



My goal is to raise $14,000 to feed the COVID-19 ICU night shift at Mount Sinai for one week catered by B Cafe. I know the day shift has been receiving the bulk of the donations, so want to make sure our hero’s who work at night are taken care of. After communicating with the hospital, they are in need of healthy and delicious food options, so B Cafe put together a menu for the hospital and is ready to take orders! Each meal is an average of $15 and includes an entree and a side of fruit.
