After working an evening shift as a contracted nurse, Ebonee went from helping others heal to the patient that needs help healing after a tragic late-night car accident.
As she returned home after her shift, she exited her car and began walking between two cars to get home. As she was crossing between the two cars, a drunk driver crashed into the parked cars. The cars struck her, tossed her in the air and pinned her between two cars before she can react. The driver got out of the car, looked down at her on the ground then walked off without calling for help. Being the incredibly strong woman she is, she was able to crawl under the car to get her phone to call for help.
She remained in the hospital FROM November 19, 2022 to February 8, 2023. She's had 10 surgeries, to date, to try to reconstruct her left leg while using the right leg as a donor. She also had suffered additional life threatening health events during this time.
She is now in phase two of her Journey. She was discharged from the hospital on February 8th and is currently in a skilled nursing facility where she will stay over the course of her treatment plan.
As a mother of 2 teenage boys with daily responsibilities, currently not receiving any income or government assistance. The financial burden has become very overwhelming and stressful.
We are asking for any assistance to help lessen her financial burden during this process. The funding will help supplement her physical therapy, continued care, and her and her sons' necessities during this time.
