Penny’s Story: Blind Pregnant and Tortured
Penny is a blind, pregnant chihuahua who was abused and horribly tortured, cruelty no animal should ever experience. The people that were supposed to love, protect her, and provide for her a safe loving home didnt they were truly evil at its core. When I found her, she was shaking terrified, beyond belief, confused, malnourished and completely shut down. The people that gave her to me supposedly were moving cross country to the east coast because of a sick parent, she posted a picture of her on nextdoor saying her mom was dieing of cancer and she had to move down there but they didnt allow dogs at her moms place, I for some reason, I was not looking for another pet as I have 2 fur babies already (2 female chihuahuas)I was actually looking for yard sales and used items I could buy for my home since I just moved here a few months ago but I seen the picture and I sent her a message she responded within seconds it actually shocked me of how fast she responded and that she was asking what time could I pick her up no questions no checking to see if I would be a good fit for penny and now I know why because they didnt care, to make a long story short we agreed upon 5pm that day for me to go see her, when I got there her and her husband were waiting outside with penny she handed me penny no leash no collar, toys nothin just a very small bag that barely had some dog food in it and said they were in a hurry to catch a flight and left I took penny home and started examining her because of her shaking and how skinny she was tou could just tell right off the back shes had poop stuck to the hair of her paws she had knots of feces dirty I dont know what it was all over her hair she smelled terrible I showered her and noticed she kept pulling her hands away shaking so bad looked like she was having a seizure of how bad she was shaking I looked and seen they cut 3 of her whole nails off her paws poor thing till this day she still get very scarred when I touch her paws so, I got extremely upset and called the lady her evil old owner she did not respond this was already hours that had passed so she would have landed if she did indeed go to the airport but her phone just rang left voicemails never returned my messages so we went to the apartment knocked it sounded like someone was home but no answer after 3 days of going to the apartment and calling I went down ther again finally her neighbor comes out and tells me they never left they have been there the whole time, and I told her about the dog and she said oh my gosh I thought they killed her, she said they would hear them beating her so bad and penny would scream at the top of her lungs, that all day penny cried she said her husband when they first moved there that her husband would go over to there apartment and hang out with them and he seen the dog in the bathroom dirty beyond dirty she said smelled like feces and urine but he didnt think anything of it as he was there sitting on a chair where he could see into the bathroom he saw penny eating her own poop and he told them and they said oh she does that even though we feed her at first he didnt think anything of it dogs are weird sometimes but after a couple times going over there he saw more and more how she didnt even have a bowl of water in there no bowl for food, no dog toys, dog bed he seen them go in at times and kick her really hard she said and so he couldn't take it anymore and he started arguing with them they called the cops but everytime they would call the cops they wouldnt answer or they would leave before they got there, she said she hadn't heard the dog for a few days and she thought that they killed her I told her no I had her we couldn't figure out why after 5 years of torturing the dog they decide to give her away until I took her to the vet and thats when I found out she was pregnant they didnt want a bunch of dogs or they thought she was going to die of how skinny she was. Penny went through some very hard evil things that till this day she still is traumatized but she is now safe and loved more than she had ever been in five years of living, but penny needs alot of medical attention that I dont have the money for because of her malnourishment and her rotted teeth she is not able to eat much and needs to be having vet visits, ultrasounds, and bloodwork that I can't cover I dont have the funds to cover the vet said that if she does have the babies shes going to need surgery for sure to deliver and she needs to get those teeth extracted the antibiotics I got her are only helping the swelling and infection, and I need to look for someone that specializes in grooming dogs with as much trauma she has because Its difficult to cut her nails and hair she starts shaking and she gets so terrified she actually pees herself of how scared she gets! Im not one to be asking for handouts or ask anyone for help but this beautiful little angel has gotten a piece of my heart and won't let go and I know she feels the same way she has gotten so attached to me and my girls were her new fanily! She has been tortured, abused, and never shown love until she got here, and with all the trauma she has been through I dont want her to have to go to a shelter, it would be extremely hard on her. So Minah, Aserah, and I (pennys new mom and 2 sisters) are asking you all from the bottom of our hearts please help us save penny, if you could help us out with $1 $5, $10, $20 dollars no matter how much the donation it will truly help us get her the medical attention she needs and the grooming she desperately needs and if you cant donate please please share pennys story! She has been through hell, I just want to be able to give her and show her what love feels like and what being a part of a family is like.
Penny deserves to stay in the home where she is loved, protected, and healing dont you agree? And so she can continue her recovery without being uprooted again.
