Womanhood is beautiful, it's special, it's sacred and God designed and created us with intention that you couldn't just morph into a woman, but be born from a woman into a woman.

God placed on me a mission in 2015, to start a program that targeted his daughters. To take my experiences, my journey and deliverance and use it to plant the seed of God in their lives. I knew that in order to do it properly, it would take a continuous refinement of my life, obedience, faith and finances. I began funding God & Girls from my own income sources, despite being a single mother with one job, God always made it more than enough. Thinking wisely, I began to research grants that could help me fund the program and grow it. I found that not many state grants are offered to programs that are faith based, neither are federal. However, someone mentioned to me that churches often fund faith programs and that this would be a great program to share in.

In my application of grants through churches, I learned that there was a huge push to blend the woman God created and the woman man created in order to be eligible for the funding. What I didn't know is, how that would impact my chances of receiving funding. I've been asked to alter the word of God in order to be approved for funding, to change the description of woman for the comfortability of some participants. You can't change the truth, you can't alter the word of God and I refuse to be apart of a lie to please the world.

God and Girls is not meant to disrespect other identities, I'm not turning other identities away from the program, my hope is that they would come and be transformed. God and Girls is created to build up the young women in Christ, to be who God has called them to be, to themselves, to their families and in the world.
