On July 7th 2023, Raya Joy Richelson was born, She was premature at 33 weeks and fighting a disease called "Charge Syndrome," but through a miracle of God, she is alive. This beautiful baby has a strong desire to live and she fights for every breath she takes. She has been in neonatal intensive care since birth. The bills are stacking up and this fight for her life requires her whole family to be present. Please help Baby Raya and her family get through this difficult time, any amount helps. The doctors say this disease is incurable, but we do not accept this, we know God can and WILL cure her. This fundraiser will bring focus to the power of God to cure any and every disease. This money will be used to alleviate some of the immense financial burdens this family is now crushed under. No family going through a difficult situation like this should need to worry about money, EVER. The Richelsons are an extraordinary family, they put God first in everything they do. Gerrit, the loving father and devoted husband, is the best man I know and has traveled to Africa TWO times, making his way on foot through the Congo to spread the love of God to the currently enslaved tribe, the Pygmies. Risking his life for people who have been enslaved since birth. This is simply who Gerrit is. He also goes through the city of Cincinnati searching for the poor, the homeless, the addicted and the broken. He searches for these people to help, asking nothing in return. He does this because it was what God has put on his heart to do. His wife Chelsea is an amazing woman of God as well. She searches for the hurting people of this world and spreads the love of God through her music and loving nature. They also have a son, Lucas, who loves his newborn sister, even though he has only got to hold her a couple of times. This family has been selfless and has shown love to the forgotten and the broken, for people who can do nothing for them in return. Now, it is our time to show Gerrit, Chelsea, Lucas and Baby Raya that they are loved and that we are here for them. It is their time to be helped. It is their time to be served. It is their time, for others to do for them, as they have done for others. This family is going through something I can not even begin to imagine, but through it all, they have remained faithful and grateful to God for giving them Baby Raya. Gerrit has missed so much work spending time at the hospital, taking care of his wife and son Lucas, the bills are piling up, the stress is mounting, they don't deserve this, they deserve to only focus on helping their daughter. Imagine, having to decide to work and pay the bills and feed your family or spend time with your newborn daughter in the hospital, this is a choice he should not have to make, the days are long, the nights are longer, he needs peace in this area of his life and YOU have the power to help him.
