Hi everyone! My name is Sara and I have end stage renal failure (Stage 5 Kidney disease). It may appear that people with Kidney disease can lead a normal life, but no one sees the constant illness that comes along with CKD. On a weekly basis I have iron infusions, epigen shots, blood work, and urine testing on top of every other week nephrologist, endocrine, and primary care appointments. After my fistula surgery for dialysis, I had a major infection which put me in the hospital three times in the past few months. I continue to have complications with my left arm from the infection. As much as I try to lead a normal life for someone with CKD stage 5, it is nearly impossible as I had to give up working and have very little endurance. I was turned down for social security disability and am currently appealing. That said, I have piling medical bills, medical supply needs (insulin, medications (I take 14 daily that Medicaid doesn’t cover ) and normal living expenses that can’t be paid without some help from friends. I am at risk of losing my housing. I have contacted the National Kidney Foundation and my end goal is to be accepted to a program for a kidney transplant. Until then, I have 7% kidney function and have to keep fighting this disease daily. Please consider making a donation to someone who has been fundraising for others her entire life. I believe in the grace and goodness of others and will certainly pay back the kindness as soon as I can. Thank you! #Kidneywarrior
