On Oct. 1, 2025 five local jornaleros were arrested for trespassing in the Home Depot parking lot when they were just looking for work.

They spent the whole day in jail and were released at the end of the day missing a whole day of potential work.

Luis is one of those day laborers, he has an urgent ask for funds due to loss of wages, his mother was recently in a really bad accident and has been sending funds to her in Mexico, his rent is due this month and he's desperately looking for work.
