Help Save Fynn: Emergency Surgery

Hello! I'm Morgen, and my partner Zach and I are fundraising to save the life of our sweet, four-year-old Maine Coon named Fynn. Fynn joined our family in 2019, and like so many families with furry companions can understand, our lives immediately changed for the better. Suddenly, Fynn was struggling to walk

On January 17, 2023, Fynn abruptly lost his vestibular functioning, which is responsible for balance, coordination, and spatial orientation. Suddenly our once energetic, high-spirited boy was struggling to walk. After an emergency visit to the animal hospital and several trips to various veterinarians searching for answers, we learned Fynn likely has polyps deep in his inner ear.

The prognosis

Without treatment, the polyps will continue to grow, worsening Fynn's balance and coordination before migrating to his nasal passages and throat, obstructing his breathing and devastating his quality of life.

The price of saving Fynn's life

Fynn's condition is treatable, but time is of the essence. The longer we wait, the greater the likelihood the polyps will migrate to other areas. Fynn is only four years old and has so much life to live; we're devastated to see him endure this. While we're doing everything in our power to prevent his disease from progressing, the cost of surgery is beyond our means:

That's why we're humbly asking for your help. The recurrence rate of polyps after a Bulla Osteotomy Ventral is 2%, and the majority of animals recover to a normal quality of life. Any amount will help us cover the cost of surgery and give Fynn a chance to live a long and healthy life.
