Robotics World Championship - Houston April 2022!

Our rookie Half Moon Bay High School Robotics Team #8793 (Pumpkin Bots!) just qualified to go to the FIRST Robotics World Championships in Houston on 4/20! We, the Team Mentors, are looking to raise $12,500 in the next 48 hours so our kids can have the opportunity of a lifetime.  

 

We have ONLY DAYS to raise funds to fly our team of 9 students and our 90lb robot to Texas! Like Apple, this small but mighty team of Coastside kids started in a garage with a box of parts and no idea what they were getting into. As a first-year team, the initial goal was to build a robot that could drive and maybe score during a competition. Our team went on to compete at the San Francisco Regional  & Silicon Valley Regional competitions. We went on to win three awards: Rookie Inspiration, Highest Rookie Seed and Rookie ALL STAR which got us qualified for the Robotics World Championship! So, any support to help make this dream come true would be greatly appreciated!

 

All funds raised will go towards getting the team to the Robotics World Championship in Houston on April 20 to 23.  Any  donations above our goal will remain in the robotics club school account and used for next school year.  We hope the new Robotics Club will continue to grow and inspire students of diverse backgrounds to learn more about STEM, develop leadership experience, and follow technical career paths.
