My dog was born with lens luxation in her right eye, which led to glaucoma and very uncomfortable symptoms. We suspect she now has total blindness in that eye. Even though she’s lost her sight on one side, she hasn’t let it hold her back—she’s still full of energy and love, and faces every day with her usual spirit.

Right now, she needs surgery to remove her affected eye. I want to make sure she gets her eye care as soon as possible, but the costs are more than I can manage on my own.

Moxie also is dealing with a torn shoulder ligament that has made the previous 3 months even more challenging for the both of us. She guards her left shoulder and buries her right eye, making her body twist while sleeping. It looks extremely awkward and uncomfortable. I’ve spent $2,000 so far just diagnosing her with X-rays, exams, and medication.
