Help Build a Permanent Eye Care Center in Haiti

Imagine an eye doctor trained in NYC working full-time in Haiti. It's real.

Dr. Anshu Chandra went to Haiti in 2010 to help people in need. She was shocked by the dire need so close to home. Children and adults were going unnecessarily blind.

In 2015, she established a full-time eye clinic in a local hospital in Fond-des-Blancs and began training Haitian eye care professionals to serve their own communities.

Since then, the clinic has provided more than 143,000 FREE EYE EXAMS and more than 7,300 advanced procedures.

Today, our Haitian team provides care every day, serving a region of more than 500,000 people and providing more than 15,000 patient visits each year.

NOW THERE IS A PROBLEM.

The current clinic space will no longer be available after 2027. The clinic has already outgrown the space, and many programs could not be started.

There are no other suitable, safe buildings.

Without a permanent facility, thousands of people could lose access to this care.

The land has been purchased. Essential equipment is already in our current clinic. A dedicated Haitian clinical team is in place.
