The tragic loss of Glenn F. Jerome (age 48) on Wednesday June 16th, 2021 has left his family in shambles. Glenn leaves his mother, sisters, brother/in laws, and nephews but the most heart aching piece is Glenn’s son Jacob.
These funds will pay for Glenn’s funeral and give a proper burial. Glenn’s health struggles the past few years left him with no savings or financial ways to help his son. Any more funds raised with go to Jacob’s housing, therapy, and care costs all of which are essential and important during this crucial time.
Jacob is only twenty years old and deals with seizures that does not let him work, drive, or financially support himself. His seizures are decreasing which is great news but this life changing event can trigger them at a more frequent rate. His family is supporting Jacob in every which way but there are so many moving parts and factors in getting Jacob’s health and financials to a safe standard. He is so numb by the situation and rightfully so. Jacob is obviously going through so much during this time and has no idea how he will be able to find housing and independently live as Glenn was not only his father but his caretaker and confidant.
We are going through the state to hopefully help but we all know the pace of the system and how long it can be before any support or funding is given.
It would mean the world if we could all help in any way that we can. To relieve some stress and burdens would be a miracle and a true blessing.
On behalf of the Jerome Family, we are truly at a complete loss. Glenn’s humor, fun dance moves, and passion towards sports was always something to look forward to when we saw him. Glenn’s love for his son Jacob was inevitable and we all want to keep that love and comfort going.
Thank you to each and every person that shares Glenn and Jacob’s story as the more hearts that connect to this the more we can all do as a community for Jacob.
