Give Scott & Family a Hand
Donation protected

Perhaps this isn’t the time to be “punny”, but we are seeking a helping hand for our beloved family member, Scott McIlwain, his wife, and his two young daughters. For those of you who don’t know Scott, he is the owner of Anything with Wood, and not to boast, but he’s one heck of a carpenter. Unfortunately, on April 22, 2016, Scott had a serious run-in with a table saw. While at work laying a floor for a customer, Scott’s left hand was caught in the saw. Sadly, he suffered extensive injuries to his left hand. He lost part of his index finger, shattered bones, and tore tendons in his remaining fingers. Obviously, this will have a devastating financial impact on Scott and Heather. They do have health insurance, but because Scott is self-employed, he has no workers’ compensation or paid time off. So far, Scott has had two surgeries, and he may need additional surgeries. The surgeon’s initial reports stated that Scott will be out of work for three to four months, and he will need extensive physical therapy to rehabilitate his left hand. Scott’s hospital bills are going to be extensive, and the McIlwain family depends on Scott’s income. We love Scott, Heather, and family dearly. Please consider helping them during this challenging time. No contribution is too small; they will appreciate any help you can give. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
