Aloha! My name is Jenn Klenk Sifuentes and I’m raising money to help my sons, Gabriel and Rafael Sifuentes get their “wings” so to speak, as they prepare to leave the nest and soar off to college.

This campaign is to fly Rafael to Oahu for the MIT Admissions Information Session ... and (while on Oahu) to furnish Gabriel's room as he leaves home for the first time to go to college.

I’m proud to say that my sons are developing into stellar young men, each on his own path for personal aptitude and success. As a single mom, working 3 jobs, as well as homeschooling my daughter, finances and cash flow are my challenge. And this is why I am asking for your help!

Rafael has a passion for physics, seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Science with a goal for a Doctorate of Science in the Engineering firld. His #1 dream choice for college is MIT, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has been invited to MIT’s Admissions Information Session THIS WEEKEND on Oahu!

Rafael, why is it important to you to attend this MIT Admissions Information Session?

Gabriel is working to be an EMT, with the goal to be a Paramedic; it has always been his calling to take care of others. He has completed his college core and is transferring to Oahu for his EMT classes, and to work off the transit hours necessary to enroll to be a Paramedic. He has handled his school transfers and enrollment, his flights, all of his structural needs on his own. He has already secured a room in a house with classmates, paying the rent himself. But his room is an empty box. The ‘wings’ I am hoping to provide for Gabriel are simple, I just want to know that my son has a comfortable bed to sleep on and a desk to study his schoolwork :)

Considering the short notice, the priority is to get Rafael a plane ticket to Oahu for Sunday (appx $200 RT).

If there are funds available, I would like to accompany him (2 passengers + hotel, appx $600 RT).

The golden egg would be the ability to spend a day gathering items to furnish Gabriel’s new “nest” before he moves to Oahu on June 16th (estimating $300 for meals/transportation and appx $500 for furnishings).
