Warren Ernest Taylor was a Vietnam Veteran, husband, and father of 4. He passed away on March 21st, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. His bright light shone on his children and raised them into champions of this community. His oldest daughters, Kari and Nikea, both went into the medical field. As for his youngest, Devin, and Theodore, they grew a passion for the performing arts and volunteer work. During the final months of his life, everyone stepped up to take care of not only Warren but his wife, Barbara.

Warren enlisted into the Coast Guard where he was a Sonarman on the USCGC Owasco from 1968-1972. During his four-year tour of duty, he fought for our freedom in the Vietnam War. One of only a few black men on the ship, Warren braved every obstacle he could, putting his life on the line for his country.

Warren was married to his wife Barbara for 31 wonderful years. Warren was an avid outdoorsman, being a licensed and certified hunting instructor and competitive fisherman. Not only did he bring his kids to his teaching classes, but he also brought them fishing and gave them the love of the outdoors that has been passed down for generations.

The Taylor family now turns to you, our community, our extended family, and our friends for the help we need to cover his funeral. Even with bills and expenses rising these past few years, we still want to provide the burial and assistance Warren deserves. He is already equipped with a burial plot that his parents have owned for decades. His mother and father, as well as his brother, Ray, are buried there already. To keep with his family's tradition, Warren must be transported from Florida to Massachusetts to be buried. However, in trying to keep up with that tradition, our family's money has grown tight.

We want to honor Dad and his parent's wish to return him by their side and we must ask for help to do so. Any donations or shares of this GoFundMe will be greatly appreciated by all of us here.
