Girls'service trip to South Africa

We are a group of girls from the Living Wisdom Junior High and High School. Every year, we embark on an international trip as a way to experience new cultures and learn about different parts of the world. We fundraise for the costs and spend about two weeks participating in service and adventure as we explore our location.This year, we are going to South Africa. We plan to volunteer with children for our service, to work with them by uplifting their environment and spending some time with them. Through our service, we hope to gain a better understanding of what it is like to be a child in South Africa; to learn from them and their experiences and, to share what we have to share.


We will be staying in Cape Town, and are looking forward to exploring the incredible sights of the coastal city. South Africa is a colourful country full of diversity and authenticity. The gorgeous Cape is somewhere with life of every kind, a new discovery around every corner.

A trip to Africa is a huge adventure for us, and we are all looking forward to the personal growth that will certainly come from this experience. We are a harmonious group, who have bonded so much during our time together, and anticipate a new sense of closeness after our international escapade.

Our total cost for tickets, accommodation, food, and other expenses is around $20,000. So far we have raised close to half that amount (about $10,000) through various fundraising and individual jobs. We will continue to fundraise as a group and individually.
