Help Save Ginger Gale

Ginger Gale is a 7yr old female pup. She was rescued from deplorable conditions just one week ago.  Ginger was suffering from severe malnutrition, dehydration, flea infestation and ant bites. Ginger lived in an overgrown backyard with no shelter, only puddles of water to drink from and very little to eat. she only weighed 26lbs when we rescued her. We are her Foster family until she is healthy and we can find her a Fur-ever home.

I am happy to say that Ginger is the sweetest and strongest dog I have come in contact with. She is a fighter! In just one short week of love and a healthy diet, she has gained 10lbs and is in good spirits! She has been to the vet and received her shots, but sadly she has been diagnosed with a Stage 2 Heartworm infestation. This means that her heart and lungs have been badly affected from the heartworms causing difficulty breathing, coughing and pulmonary imboli.  While Ginger is a fighter, the vet says that she will NOT survive without immediate fast kill heartworm treatment. 

Because Ginger was mistreated and malnourished for so long, we have to wait at least 2 months before she will be healthy enough for the treatment. She is weak, anemic and is being treated for an infection.  

I know this is a lot, but we have to give Ginger a chance to live the happy healthy life she deserves! I am hoping you can find it in your heart to help our sweet Ginger Gale!
