HOLA!
Como estan todos?
I am a 12 year old young lady-LOL.
For the past 4 years I have been living with Juvenile Diabetes and Celiac Disease and have had numerous hospitalizations due to complications with one or the other. BUT.... none of that stuff has every stopped me from becoming who I am today. I'm a silly tween who enjoys horror flicks, alternative music and photography. I am one of the lead singers in our school rock band and I totally adore my friends, especially my 2 BFF's whom have shared my ups and downs since I was 4. I LOVE school and I excel in most of my classes, especially writing because I hope to be a writer/author or photojournalist some day and I already have several journals which may be best-sellers one day. I can send you links to my grades and show you what a dedicated student I am. I can also proudly say that I have had PERFECT ATTENDANCE for 2 years in a row-I think that's pretty awesome, don't you?!?!!?
Next year (February, 2017) I want to go to Granada, Spain, to participate in a study abroad program sponsored by some great families at our school. Mom has agreed to help me pay for it but I have also been saving money of my own by doing chores, saving my allowance, and above all, I am maintaining excellent grades to prove that I can earn my trip with a lot of hard work and determination and some help from my closest family and friends-that means you guys!!
I really want to go to Spain because I have never been out of the US and I've always dreamed of going there someday, especially Granada!! We will be taking classes in a full immersion Spanish classroom (no Dominican accents here-lol), participating in spectacular excursions every afternoon and staying with host families.
Our class will have a webpage for you to view our class progress and many, many pictures of our daily adventures.
I will be eternally grateful for any monetary help you could offer in helping to send me to Granada but please, do not feel obligated to give money if you can't. Your moral support, your good wishes and your prayers are just as poweful and very much needed too.
Click/copy the link below for more information about the program. We have 2 parents who participated in this program as students and now their children are old enough to go so they will also be serving as our chaperones.
