On Wednesday morning, my dad suffered a fall from a ladder, resulting in two brain bleeds. He is currently unconscious in the hospital, and our family is anxiously waiting for any sign of improvement. My dad is one of the most generous people I know. He and my mom recently moved to enjoy their retirement years, and we were all looking forward to this new chapter together.

As if things weren’t difficult enough, my mom was in a car accident on her way to the hospital to be with my dad. Thankfully, she wasn’t seriously hurt, but her car was badly damaged and is no longer drivable. Now, on top of the emotional toll, they're facing unexpected expenses for auto repairs, hospital bills, and the extended rehabilitation my dad will need for his traumatic brain injury. It’s a lot for our family to handle all at once, and we’re doing our best to stay strong for both of my parents.
