Trip to NY for TeamBackPack/MUNY'16

Hello friends, family, and (small number of) fans, my name is James (aka Mindfull), known as JJ to some, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area but currently residing in Oceanside/San Diego area of California.
TeamBackPack has watched my online audition video and has invited me to audition LIVE in front of a panel of industry A&Rs, label executives, hip-hop heavy weights, TBP staff and a crowd of 600+ attendees for a chance to be a part of the OFFICIAL TBP Cypher. This campaign is my attempt to raise enough funds to allow me to actually attend this event which has the potential to open many doors for me in music and Hip-Hop in terms of exposure and networking.
This event takes place from June 15 thru June 18 in Brooklyn, New York, where the top performers will be chosen as part of a draft down to a total of 12 (out of hundreds!) for one round, and then down to 3 for the final round.
So, essentially what you'll be contributing to is a potential jump in a career that has long been a passion of mine and something that I take extremely seriously. TBP videos reach a total of over 100M+ views a month plus international coverage, which means both a far and wide reaching scope!
The money will be used for the flight there and back, lodging expenses, basic food and supplies, and transportation within NY. Because I did not receive the previous two emails, I only received the third notice just recently and have just two weeks to save up for this trip. And with other obligations, it is not possible for me to save that much amount of money in such a short amount of time.
This campaign means a lot to me because I truly believe that I can grow as an artist immensely by using a platform such as this, and being in the Marine Corps, as unpredictable as it can be, it's not often that opportunities like this present themselves.
I'll be eternally thankful for each and every donator and will compile a list of all donators to be remembered for personalized thank you's in the future, whether that's free music or free merch! If you're unable to donate (understandably!), please spread the word and share on social media with friends and family on social media whenever you can.
