As you all know, our friend Abi Hurlston has recently become very sick and is still in the process of trying to receive a diagnosis for her health problems.
If you're a friend of Abi's on Facebook, or a friend of a friend, you'll have seen over the span of the last couple of weeks that Abi has lost nearly 20 lbs! Abi is also in a very difficult situation, where she's essentially stuck in Louisianna. For those of you that don't know, the area of Louisianna that Abi lives in, is an area that is unfortunately very much mired in racism, so to complicate an already complicated situation, it's been very difficult for Abi to receive accurate or even timely treatment.
Abi is also one of the biggest lovers of animals that of any of us have probably ever met. She absolutely loves her babies, Tink, Han, and the soon to be Jack (maybe?). If you have fur-babies or know anyone with them, you know it's hard to travel with one pet, and nearly impossible to travel alone with three.
So here's what we need to do:
WE NEED TO GET ABI HOME!
We need to help get Abi home to California, so that Abi and her mother can help her get back to being the strong woman that we all know and love!
What's the money for?
The money is to cover the cost of Abi's travel (she needs to drive from Louisiana to California), the cost to break her lease, and the cost to move her belongings from Louisiana to California. The reality is that $1500 may not be enough but every single, little bit helps!
So for everyone on Facebook who has wanted to know how to help or lend support, this is the absolute best and most important thing for Abi.
