Get Galaxy’s Science Olympiad to Nationals!

Hi, my name is Catherine Peavy and I am fundraising for my son's Science Olympiad Team.

Galaxy Middle School is a Title 1 School with at least 75% of our students qualifying for free or reduced lunch because of low family income. Our public school competed against private and charter schools (many of which have 'Science' in their names) at the Florida State Science Olympiad Competition last weekend at the University of Florida. The students on our top team won medals in 15 of the 22 events, won second place overall, and earned one of the 60 nationwide invitations to the National Competition on May 19th and 20th in Wichita, Kansas. That's only 6 weeks to raise funds for the amazing kids!

Currently, we have planned spirit nights at local restaurants, car washes, and concessions at the school basketball games. With very little time before the Competition, we are scrambling to pay for these kids to go.

If you'd like to help them get to Nationals, we are raising funds for airline tickets, transportation shuttles, rooms, food, and more.

For many of these kids, this may be their only opportunity to have this type of experience.

All funds will be transferred to the GMS STEM Rocket Boosters Inc.
