Get Frank On The Road

Hello Family and Friends,
I am setting up this GoFundMe account to help raise money to purchase a new (well… slightly used) handicap conversion van for my husband Frank.
On Monday, Feb 14, I asked my husband if he would go and get us a dinner box at Popeyes Chicken. He agreed and off he went. About 6 pm I received a call from Frank telling me he was OK, but he had been involved in an auto collision at a very busy intersection on his way home. Another car had decided to perform a “U-Turn” in the middle of the intersection and with virtually no time to stop, he collided with other vehicle.
The police and emergency personnel were quick to respond, and he was able to exit his van on his scooter. Neither he nor the other driver were injured, thank God! My husband is handicapped with Multiple Sclerosis and his van was a Medical Conversion Chrysler Town & Country, which allowed him to work and lead an almost normal life for the last 8 years.
We learned from the insurance company, the van was “totaled”. We received a small settlement from the insurance company, but it is not sufficient enough to get Frank back on the road. The insurance remittance is about 10% of the original price tag.
Without his handicap van husband is 100% “House-Bound.” He is not able to get to his Doctor appointments, the VA Center, the grocery store, Church, etc… like he used to.
Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
