MEET DILAN
Dilan is an extremely talent musical genius who started her training in classical music starting initially with lessons in the viola whilst she was studying in at secondary school when they required a second instrument Dilan picked the violin, which is when the magic happened.
A young musical genius, Dilan had to decide between the instruments and followed the violin as it seemed to complete her.
The violin has been the vessel that carried the pain and trauma of being raised in a complex family with a complex history, made worse only by the fact they were living on the poverty line.
Studying was Dilan’s way out and she had poured her pain into the violin. She obtained scholarship after scholarship. All the adversity of her up bringing was covered by the veil of her music as she studied at the universities in Istanbul and Tel Aviv, both under scholarships.
She is due to complete her programme after four years of intense study, and is now looking to further her talent through a Masters in Violin.
MEET DILAN’ DREAM
London had always been her dream and earlier this year her talent, her drive and her dedication got her offers in both Royal College of Music as well as the Royal Academy of Music.
That’s how rare her talent is!!
After much deliberation she has chosen to study at RCM.
During her audition period due to conflicts she had to submit her practice run, without a piano accompaniment! That’s how amazing this “practice” video is.
FUNDRAISING IN INSTALLMENTS
Being is a student coming to the UK from Turkey she is a non-UK/EU student, she is subjected to higher tuition fee (£30k per annum), plus the purchase of a violin (£5k)- the funds that needs to be raised is eye watering.
So we are breaking up the fundraisers as instalments based on what is needed at the time as we didn’t want to scare you from the size of the target… and make you feel like we won’t make it and your money would be wasted.
That is never going to happen as I am certain through a combination of private donations and corporate scholarships we will make it there.
If you’re wonder why I have no doubt that we will be able to fundraise the total amount of the tuition fee of £30k plus the cost of her violin..

Unfortunately the tuition fees are eye watering at £30,000 per annum for their two year master’s course.
We are looking at all the scholarship options but in reality none will cover the full cost.
I’m hoping to continue to support her living expenses, as she will be living with me but we are looking to fundraise for the tuition fee over these two years, £60,000 in total.
Her talent alone has got her this far- through much adversity her drive and her dream has survived - not only that, she managed to get offers from two of the best schools in the world..
Studying anything to the with the arts is becoming impossible if you come from a working class background. So let’s not let the tuition fee hold Dilan back- and let’s get Dilan to the RCM and let music reign over pain.
