Get Brody Better

Last week we were at a tradeshow in St Louis when we got a call from my parents that were caring for our children and the family dog (4-yr-old boxer). Our 9-yr-old son Brody had sat down on the couch next to the sleeping dog and heard it whimpering. When he went to pet him, the dog got scared and reeled on Brody. In a matter of a split-second, he had bitten through and torn Brody's lip as well as inflicting puncture wounds from his claws to the forehead. Brody was rushed by his grandparents to Wolfson Children's Trauma Center for 13 internal and external sutures. He is now home and healing slowly. He will require additional plastic surgeries still to be determined once bandages are removed in two weeks. We are utterly devastated by this event. Additionally, we have been self-employed for the last 20 years, and this past year of 2022 was the worst of those years on record. So, health insurance was a luxury we could not maintain, and the costs of these medical expenses are an overwhelming, unexpected burden. As a result, for the first time in our lives, we are asking for any donations of assistance people are willing to offer to help our baby boy recover. We appreciate any help you are willing to give.
