Giving Back To A Bereaved Family

Donation protected
Gerry McLean sadly passed away in hospital on the 20th Of November 2016 at just after 10am.

Gerry Leaves behind a wife of 33 years, A daughter with special needs, a son and 4 Grand children. Gerry will be sadly and dearly missed.

Gerry was a gentle person and that of a kind nature who did his best with all that were fortunate enough to meet and know him wather it be in a church setting, a social environment or a charitable refuge centre.

Gerry sacraficed his own personal agendas and made himself available to those that required his time. No matter what the sittuation Gerry always found a way to do his best to be enough for what each individual needed or required.

Gerry always tried to provide for others both finacianally and emotionally and rather than concern himself about his own health or all the repairs that needed doing to the home, Gerry always believed that someone else was more in need and if Gerry could help he would.

After my dad came out of work he became a student to further himself as a person. Upon doing this he used to dig into his pockets and buy veg/meat etc. and prepare meals for those struggeling in student accomodation. If you are a family of 4 or more you will understand how expensive this quickly mounts up and he was doing all this whilst supporting his own family (Himself, My mother, My dissabled sister and Myself) of 4.

As time moved forward my father was befriending people of different ethnicities, beliefs, cultures etc. Out of his own pocket he was funding outings and experiences so that those less fortunate could partake in something that they could not do otherwise.

This is not something that I would usually do but for the sake of being humble and brushing my pride to one side I want to be able to at least ask for your help so I may make a purchase of a headstone and put towards the expenses of bills. The home of my mother is in a major state of repair such as damp proofing, new lintels needed, plumbing, re-wiring etc. to put it plainly it is not as simple as a coat of paint.

For the sake of anyone wishing to make donations I am planning on scanning reciepts and I am more than happy to upload them onto here or email them if or when required.

I thank you for your time and I will do my best to make regular updates as and when I can.

I sincerely Thank you for your time.
