Germany brain cancer treatment
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kate!
I’m an RN, an Air Force veteran, an active nature lover, and a proud dog mom to my 100-lb German Shepherd, Einstein. In 2021, I was diagnosed with a grade 2 astrocytoma glioma.
That August, I underwent a craniotomy to remove the tumor, but they couldn’t remove it all to preserve my vision. After surgery, I felt optimistic—I wasn’t seeing progression and thought I was regaining control of my life.
However, my recent MRI showed new growth, which means chemotherapy and radiation are now necessary. As someone who believes in a holistic approach to healthcare, I’m hoping to try alternative treatments first before resorting to more aggressive options. This is where I need your support.
I plan to begin a customized treatment in Germany at the start of 2025, but the cost is $90,000, which will put me even deeper into debt. For the past four years, I’ve been unable to work and was recently denied SSDI benefits. My family has been helping as much as they can, but they are on fixed incomes and already facing their own financial struggles.
I know many are facing tight finances, and any support—financial or otherwise—would mean the world to me.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity during this challenging time. ❤️
