PROJECT George Ludgate - Art and mental health

Hi everyone it’s Sam Ludgate Bloom here. 

I am George’s brother. I have started this campaign as a way to raise money and accept donations in the wake of George’s departure from all of our lives.

The fund will be used to assist me in a project to exhibit George’s work. His archives consist of a lot of imagery created and collected by George, but mostly a vast and eloquent journaling of his brilliant and troubled mind. 

Having made tentative inroads into the archives, I, with a committee of friends who are art, mental health and philanthropy professionals, feel that his work and legacy could and should be used to educate others, both sufferers and practitioners in the realm of Mental Health, with a deep and intrinsic connection to art and creativity. 

The funds will be used initially to support the work that will be required to move this project from a chrysalis stage, to a point where the wider world and relevant institutions will be able to experience it and hopefully take it further. 

Any proceeds from that journey, or left over funds will be bequeathed to relevant organisations and or charities who operate in this field.
