Genesee Valley Outdoor Learning Center is a non-profit challenge course and summer camp located in Parkton, MD, just north of Baltimore City.  Here at GV we believe in experiential learning, or learning by doing.  Founded in 1981, Genesee Valley has provided over 35 years of unique educational experiences for thousands of participants.

Our mission  is to "Provide quality learning experiences that promote growth and nourish the development of individuals of all ages and backgrounds."  

Genesee Valley has an expansive challenge course and an abundance of outdoor space for spring, summer, and fall programming. However, we are lacking indoor programming space for winter programs and rainy days.

We have a large historic barn on site in a centralized and accessible location.  Previously an indoor climbing facility, it currently serves as a primary shelter during warmer months. It would also be a great place for groups to learn and play in colder months.

This beautiful old barn is in great shape but needs some work before it can serve as a year-round indoor space for programming.  

We will use your donation to:
1.  Install a new roof
2.  Repair minor water damage
3.  Install a heating system 

The project will cost approximately $12,000. We would love to begin restoration in the late spring or early summer to be on-line for cold weather programming in the fall.

Your contribution will help provide a safe, warm space for the learning and growth of our participants.  We will be able to better serve our current groups and offer more programs during the winter months.
