Hi - I am Jen Rymer.

I am Gene's wife of almost 29 years.

The last 11 have been laced with cancer and rough on Gene and our family as well as the budget.

Cancer doesn't care.

Those that know my husband know he's a very kind and loving man. He is a father and adopted my 4 boys and we are adopting a 2yo right now - he's just got a big heart like that.

He would help anyone if he could do it.

He loves his family so much.

This man is truly my "Ironman."

He's been through sooo soo much.

Right now Gene is at a point where the doctors say they can't help him anymore. :(

3.29.24 we were in the ER and doctors.agtee it's time for hospice. It's hard to believe that. He's still so full of life and hope.

He's taking Chemo in the hopes that it will kill this darn dediffentiated lipo sarcoma.

This particular cancer is so aggressive and morphs moment by moment so they can't even trace it to kill it - that's what we are told.

There is only a slim chance this chemo while poisoning Gene will maybe shrink the tumors and buy him a little more time with us but the doctors are doubtful.

It is so hard knowing what he will be facing.

Part of all this is that Gene wants to take a family trip back to California so he can see his older fragile mom and sisters and meet our newest granddaughter and say his goodbye's :( That is gonna be so hard. :(

That requires a lot of money to travel. California is stupid expensive as y'all know.

Gene also has a DVT (Blood clot in his leg) and it's very painful and swelling up recently. So we need to lengthen the trip so he can get out and walk around and not end up with more issues.

Part of the money earned here will also help pay for the final expenses. He wishes to be cremated and no big fuss so we are asking for any help or flowers to be donated this side of life through this fund raiser.

We are in no way financially prepared to handle the final expenses and the trip. We never expected the cancer would be inoperable. We do believe God is bigger though. Our hope is in HIM!

We are just making ends meet - barely.

We are asking for everyone to consider how you can help.

Prayer is awesome because we have seen it work in the past and believe God is the one that will determine Gene's expiration date. Not doctors that have no clue.

And then of course financial help.

Please share and if you know Gene, you know how humbling this is to ask for help. He hates this but knows we do need to seek God's grace and provision and the Body of Christ will help.

Gene wants nothing more than me to be okay when he has walked home with Jesus. I will be but it would be nice to have some financial breathing room going into this new chapter of my life too. If we can cover the final expenses and get his trip in, that would be amazing.

It's hard.

We just want him healed, in Jesus Mighty Name!

But, right now, facing the music and dealing with things, this is where we are at.
