Gen is Running the Extra Mile for a Greener Future

In the face of climate change and biodiversity loss, teaching adults about nature is more essential than ever. As Sir David Attenborough eloquently stated: “No one will protect what they don’t care about, and no one will care about what they haven’t experienced”. We, Biodiversity and Environmental Education Society (BEES), offer the first affordable 3-year course programme in the UK to train adults whatever their background to become nature guides. With their newly acquired knowledge and skills, our trained nature guides will spark a love for nature among their communities, inspire them to become environmentally conscious and respectful of nature, and ultimately help safeguard our planet. Our mission is ultimately to grow a network of nature guides throughout the whole of the UK.

Having completed the BEE A Nature Guide course herself (https://www.beeanatureguide.org.uk/the-course), Gen has very kindly volunteered to fundraise on behalf of BEES by entering the Larking Gowen Norwich Half Marathon on Sunday 24th November 2024! Please show your support for her and for our mission by making a donation.

You have the power to make a change, to help build a sustainable planet. Your donations will help us to carry on our mission, to train prospective nature guides, develop and expand our programme.

All donations go towards the cost of developing and operating our training programme and allow us to keep the course fees as low as possible. We believe than financial circumstance should not be a barrier to environmental education and try to ensure the course is kept as financially accessible as possible. No profit is made from running the course and the fee offers substantial value for money given it's breadth and depth, and combination of theoretical and practical training. Our vision is for the course to be able to be delivered free to those of financial hardship so anybody, regardless of their socioeconomic circumstances, may learn. Our trustees are all volunteers and do not earn any money from the charity.

Help us, BEE the change for today and tomorrow!

Thank you so much!
