Gemm's top surgery - Mastectomia de Gemm

     Hi! My name is Gemm Tiago Nuen also known as QueerGemm, which is the name of my YouTube and social media project, where I make videos about LGBTQIA+ representation in media in English, and gender and sexual diversity in Spanish.

I’m a non-binary transmasc bisexual person and I’m from the very south of Mexico, Chiapas. I am creating this GoFundMe fundraiser because I need help funding my top surgery, since covid-19 left me unemployed, and it’s something that I really really need to alleviate my chest dysphoria.

I cannot keep on wearing a binder due to back and breathing problems. This past year has been one of the most challenging, and coming to this decision was the easiest thing I've done. I want to feel at home in the body I’ll live in for the rest of my life.
And I know that with the top surgery I will have that. I want to be proud and happy of who I see in the mirror and live a fuller, easier life.

     ¡Hola! Mi nombre es Gemm Tiago Nuen también conocido como QueerGemm, que es el nombre de mi proyecto de YouTube y redes sociales, donde hago videos sobre la representación LGBTQIA + en los medios audiovisuales en inglés, y la diversidad sexual y de género en español.
Soy una persona no binarie transmasculino bisexual y soy del sur de México, Chiapas.

Estoy creando esta recaudación de fondos de GoFundMe porque necesito ayuda recaudando los fondos para mi cirugía de masculinización de tórax, también conocida como mastectomía, ya que por la pandemia me quedé desempleado, y es algo que realmente necesito para aliviar la disforia que tengo con mi pecho.

Ya que no puedo seguir usando binder (faja compresora) debido a problemas de espalda y respiración. Este año que ha pasado ha sido uno de los más desafiantes, y tomar esta decisión fue lo más fácil que he hecho.

Quiero sentirme como en casa en el cuerpo en el que viviré por el resto de mi vida, y sé que con esta cirugía tendré eso. Quiero estar orgulloso y feliz de quién veo en el espejo, y vivir una vida más plena y fácil.
