It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Gayle Hebert. Gayle passed on the evening of November 6th, 2020, from Cholangiocarinoma; this was Gayle’s second battle with cancer since conquering breast cancer in 2008. Gayle grew up in Santa Monica, California, and later moved to the South Bay where she raised her children: Heather, Brice, April and Vincent. Gayle fought tirelessly for equal rights and fair pay through her union, The UCFW . Aside from her relentless activism, Gayle worked in the grocery industry for 33 years and was loved by her customers and coworkers. She hosted karaoke every Sunday night at Starboard Attitude in Redondo Beach, where she met her husband Patrick in 2005.She is survived by her husband, her four children, and her grandchildren, Makayla (12), Thomas (10), James (9), and “Baby” Brice (3). We are raising funds to fulfil Gayle’s final resting wishes as well as for a Ceremony of Life and to help her husband get through these next couples months. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
